Registration and ressources via OLAT course

Lectures (English languange) will be recorded and made available to students on OLAT. Students are required to watch the lecture prior to the interactive live tutorials which will be held in person.

The course is offered via the Key Skills Centre (Zentrum für Schlüsselqualifikationen, ZfS) and credited (5 ECTS) as an optional module (see the webpage of the ZfS for more information). If in doubt, please aks your study advisor about participation and admission to exam prior to semester start.

Bachelor and Master students in Business Administration (BWL) and W-X students cannot receive credits for this course! Bachelor students can receive credits in Prof. Scheiner's course "Grundlagen des Entrepreneurship (BWL-ENTRE)", master students in Prof. Walter's course "Entrepreneurship (BWL-Entre2)" instead.

Inhalt
In the pre-recorded online lectures, students will learn the theoretical basics of entrepreneurship, illustrated on different start-up examples. Topics include entrepreneurial competences, business modelling, market analysis, business planning, entrepreneurial finance, property rights, intrapreneurship, etc.

The corresponding online live tutorial follows a case-based learning approach. Founders of three start-ups from Kiel will give real-life insights on the different topics from the lectures. Students will apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the lectures on the three start-up examples and discuss the cases within the group.
