1. Ihre Zulassung im LSF (Status „zu - zugelassen“)
2. Ihre Teilnahme an der ersten Sitzung oder der Vorbesprechung. Sind Sie bei der ersten Sitzung oder der Vorbesprechung verhindert, kann Ihr Platz anderweitig vergeben werden, sofern Sie nicht vor dem Termin bestätigt haben, dennoch an dem Modul teilzunehmen.

Contents:
To develop cultural awareness, we first have to understand our own
cultural values, assumptions and behaviour. Therefore, in this course we will
be looking at different definitions, dimensions and manifestations of culture.
This incorporates verbal, non-verbal and written forms of communication.
Depending on the interests of the participants, specific European and nonEuropean cultures will be covered here.
To enhance your global skills, you
will also have the opportunity to draft your own CVs and covering letters for the international workplace.
Culturally different socializing and telephoning
conventions will also be a focus.
Lernziele:
Students should be able to:
- analyze, compare and evaluate the major theoretical frameworks and applications of intercultural communication
- reflect on their own cultural background, values and assumptions in group-discussions and through peer-to-peer feedback
- critically analyze the influence of their cultural background on communication and on their behavior in intercultural settings
- further develop skills and attitudes needed to interact adequately and appropriately in intercultural interactions
